June 19. A long-standing tradition in Cornelius is coming to an end: After 25 years the North Mecklenburg Rotary Club will no longer hold their Wednesday lunch meetings at The Peninsula Club.
There was apparently a proposed price increase that club leadership felt was too steep for “business owners [who] have suffered greatly during this pandemic financially.”

The club will start a new tradition July 1 at Harvey’s in Cornelius, 19906 N Cove Road A. The restaurant will close to the public Wednesdays at lunch so that the club can hold its meetings.
The club, which has a long and deep history of community service, met for the first time on Oct. 11, 1988. The first community service project completed by the club was to raise $500 for a local child in need of hearing aids. More info: http://www.northmeckrotary.org/index.php

We are looking g forward to our new venue and relationship with Harvey’s. It is very centrally located and should be a great location for guests to easily find to attend meetings
WE enjoyed serving you all and support the Rotary’s efforts in the community and the impact you’ve made in the past as well as things to come!!!
