Somebody needs to check Johns Hopkins numbers. Are you telling me that MC has had over 100,000 recovered patients, and 2200 deaths, while NY has had 74,000 recoveries and 32,000 deaths? Look at these numbers. They cannot be accurate. The death to recovery ratios are all over the place, and it appears that several states have had 0 recoveries. ??

We gather our data on a daily basis from Johns Hopkins’ Center for Systems Science and Engineering. They post the previous day’s raw data here:

Johns Hopkins adds cumulatively to their new cases, recoveries and deaths every day. Johns Hopkins merely posts on each state’s daily reports. If you look at the link, you’ll find that JHU has indeed reported 73,736 recoveries in New York State (as of this writing), along with the other statistics we provided. This is most likely understated due to the sheer size of New York’s outbreak back in the spring; however, JHU relays the information which they receive from a variety of sources. As New York began to recover, other states saw larger outbreaks as well.

As for Cornelius Today, we merely report Johns Hopkins’ data every day. In addition to JHU’s raw data from the link provided above, here’s another link which JHU provides for visualization:

COVID-19 is accurately called the Novel Coronavirus as the global community continues to develop new ways in tracking it. We feel the best way to look at the data is through aggregating the new, confirmed daily cases, the hospitalization rates as provided by the NCDHHS and deaths due to the virus.
