[Updated 3:30 pm] June 14. Cornelius Police descended on a single-family home on Norman Island Drive in what neighbors say was a raid. People were seen handcuffed and sitting outside the manufactured doublewide home which sits opposite Community in Christ Lutheran Church.

Neighbors said there were “two loud booms” before 9 am. There was an abundance of police as well as Medic on the scene.

“We’ve been having problem with that house for years,” a neighbor said.

New: A first responder on the scene said it was a drug raid.

Cornelius Police did not respond for comment. This story will be updated.

Why can’t the police shut down that house if there has been ongoing problems for years ?

For the same reasons the Cornelius Police can`t seem to get a hold on the reckless driving that occurs on West Catawba everyday. ( If THEY didn`t see IT , then IT didn`t happen) That`s what I was told specifically a while back by a Cornelius Police officer when I waived him down for the above reason. Good luck folks!

A better question is why has Tina Marie Alexander been arrested for trafficking opium at least 3-4x before this and is always back out doing it again?

There were deaths and OD’s linked to this. There needs to be murder/attempted murder added to the charges.

I live in Wooduck Cove adjacent to that house and the family that lives there have been a problem for the neighborhood for years. Hopefully the drug bust will put an end to The situation
