Hit the trails with a Cornelius Trail Passport

March 8. The town’s Parks & Rec Department is challenging residents to visit all nine greenways and trails associated with its new Cornelius Trail Passport.
From Monday, March 13- Wednesday, Sept. 30, be on the lookout for green check-in signs, which will each have a QR code.
By checking-in at all nine locations, you will receive a swag bag including Year of the Trail merchandise, sticker or magnet commemorating your completion of the challenge, and more.
At the end of September, all who complete the challenge will be entered to win prizes donated by local businesses. Prizes include a free pair of shoes from Fleet Feet of Huntersville, two 4-hour e-bike rentals from Pedego LKN, a $50 gift card to Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar, a $25 gift card to Whit’s Frozen Custard, a RAY-Active pass from Mecklenburg Park & Recreation, and a hot chocolate kit from Kilwin’s.

How do I sign up?
In order to sign up for the Cornelius Trail Passport, you have to visit the trails listed both in this article and on our website. At each location, there is a QR code to scan that brings you to a form to sign up. Once you visit all nine trails, scan their QR codes, and fill the form out, you will receive a Year of the Trail swag bag along with being entered in a raffle to win various prizes donated by local businesses.
