Feb. 22. The Charlotte Regional Transportation Planning Organization (CRTPO) Board awarded funding for several regional transportation projects, including more than $14 million for road improvements in Cornelius and $3 million in Huntersville. Improvements to the Catawba US 21 intersection are already under way where two roundabouts are planned.

Now’s the time to eliminate the ditches and put the utilities underground along West Catawba, before the roadwork is done. The street scape trees have been destroyed due to pruning around the wires and I heard the project includes redoing the power lines which has a cost. Come on Cornelius Town Commission… this is a major eyesore on our major thoroughfare. Would the town consider a bond?
