Chamber announces leadership class

Oct. 6. The Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce has accepted 23 local business leaders into the Leadership Lake Norman. The program seeks to develop informed, committed, and qualified individuals “capable of providing visionary and progressive leadership” for the Lake Norman region. The class members are: Sushil Nepal – Town of Huntersville, Paul Groeschel – Reimels Dentistry, Tara Fitzgerald – Painting with a Twist, Kimberly Bass – Fogle Insurance Group, Karen Tovar – The Tovar Group, Steve Kinzler – NewDominion Bank, Elizabeth Morgan – Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce, LaShonda Young – First Care Medical, Jennifer Thompson – Cornelius Police Department, Amanda Shore – Swim Club Management Group, Patricia Brown – Central Piedmont Community College, Jay Roberts – JJ Wade & Associates, Julie Niswonger – Town of Cornelius, Beth Farr – Vandiver & Bryan, PLLC, Jennie Leng – Visit Lake Norman, John Anderson – Cornelius Parks and Recreation, Zack Bonczek – Keller Williams LKN, Ian Bell – Movement Mortgage, Mike Riley – Novant Healthcare. LaKeisha McAuley – Novant Healthcare, Zack Nichols – First Community Bank, Hilary Brodofsky – YMCA and Larry Scott – Wells Fargo.

    Teaching about Leadership roles in Cornelius. That is a very good thing. Let’s hope that the role is defined as researching issues, discussing ways to improve Cornelius, and a being a Good Steward for all of the citizens.
