Feb. 14. The sixth annual Well-Equipped Period campaign is a community menstrual health product drive partnering with local businesses, community group, and individuals to supply local organizations with menstrual health products annually.
The drive supports area women’s shelters, resource centers and pantries, including FeedNC in Mooresville, the Ada Jenkins Loaves and Fishes Pantry in Davidson and others.
“Lack of access to period products is a hidden human dignity issue. Local families and individuals are having to choose between period products and other necessities like food and clothing,” said Kendra Intihar, founder of Well-Equipped Period.
“Well-Equipped Period and the organizations we support are working hard to remove access barriers, decrease stigmas, and ensure that everyone has the products they need to stay healthy,” the Mooresville resident said.
Menstrual health products are rarely donated, not covered by government assistance, taxed and increasingly expensive to purchase in stores. Since 2017, the Well-Equipped Period campaign has provided nearly 150,000 critical hygiene items for free to organizations that serve this region.

This is a super worthy cause that many women are unaware of. Imagine not having access to this important product when you need it! Please donate! These products can be found at Dollar Stores for affordable prices, & many other stores.
I think this is a worthy cause as well. I have been donating these products for about 6 months now to what is called the “Pink Project”. Local ladies park in the old Stein Mart Parking lot with their trunks open for donations on the 3rd Thursday every month at 3:00. Products are delivered to impoverished schools in our area.
Not to take anything away from this program but so happy to see there are options on where to donate! Keep up the good work ladies!! You are noticed!!
