Jan. 4. By Dave Vieser. Boatyard Eats LKN has closed temporarily according to an announcement issued by owner Chris Boukedes. He blamed “draconian restrictions which have been placed upon our industry.”

Gov. Cooper issued restrictions on bars in the fall, allowing them to open outdoors only at 30 percent of outdoor capacity, or 100 guests, whichever is less. Bars that don’t have outdoor seating can open outdoor spaces to no more than seven people for every 1,000 square feet of outdoor area.
On Dec. 21 Cooper permitted the delivery or carry-out of mixed beverages as an alternative to on-site consumption. The order is effective through Jan. 31, 2021.
“We have made the difficult decision to take a break for the next few weeks to provide our staff with a much-needed breather,” he said.

I guess the owner doesn’t care about people dying.
People are dying more and more right now..if you have time, console someone who has a family member going through this.
I am grateful for some honest and diligent government officials who make these rules.
Changes happen in life….and we don’t know what will happen in the future…so best to be flexible.
