This new construction in Birkdale is a terrible idea. The previous unique and attractive shopping venue has been turned into just another boring shopping mall. Since COVID they haven’t been able to fill the abandoned shops that are already there, making it look like a ghost town. And now more ugly shops. I used to shop there regularly. I haven’t been interested in shopping there since they ruined the outdoor area. Rather shop online.

You are so right!!! What’s worse is they are not renewing the lease for the Corkscrew which in this Charlotte wasteland was one of the few vestiges of class, culture and sophistication. They took a chance on jazz 10 years ago and gave the community a lot great times for 20 years.
Now to be replaced with some kind of Taco thing, that’ll last 6 months maybe along with the shops selling useless nonsense. Some progress
I opened my store in Birkdale (Nina’s) June 2020 and love Birkdale Village. Construction is almost done and it’s going to be gorgeous. Family friendly, free amphitheater, tons of new restaurants and retail. I’ve lived in the area for 5 years and frequented Birkdale prior to owning a business there and I think that the renovations, once finished are going to be amazing! Just my thoughts…

Not only do you cater to women of all ages, but your welcoming atmosphere has provided a space for our significant others to be welcomed too AND you have supported the little ones at all the cute events at Birkdale.
