Talking Parks: Bailey court complex update

Sept. 9. The new tennis and pickleball complex at Bailey Road Park has official opening dates, according to a recent presentation at the monthly meeting of the Cornelius Parks and Recreation Board of Commissioners.
The pickleball complex will be dedicated Sept. 27, and the tennis complex will be dedicated Oct. 21. Both facilities will officially open following the ceremonies.
Parks Director Troy Fitzsimmons said he is confident the complex will open on time but cautioned that weather could still cause delays.
The project includes 12 lighted tennis courts and 10 lighted pickleball courts, making it one of the largest collections of courts in the Charlotte area.

Barbara you can call the parks and recreation division at town hall and they can answer all your questions. There will also be a new facility operator working with the town to help organize play on the courts.
