Susan Tillis charity baby shower draws crowd to Town Hall

Last Updated: May 26, 2022By Tags: ,

May 26. Hundreds of people turned out for the Susan M. Tillis Foundation’s Red, White and Bundled Baby Shower at Cornelius Town Hall Wednesday evening. Volunteers bundled everything from infant sleepers and blankets to bibs and diapers for junior enlisted at Fort Bragg.

They’re given as welcome-home packages for newborns of junior enlisted at Fort Bragg where the annual income for families is approximately $21,000.

Red, White and Bundled grew out of a visit by Tillis to Fort Bragg in early 2015. Her husband Thom is a US Senator from North Carolina and a former member of the Cornelius Town Board.

Such a beautiful project. Congratulations. My name is Marta Rojas, and I crochet baby blankets. Maybe for the next event, I would like to donate them.

If this is of your interest, please let me know.

    God bless you
