Cornelius Police and the Parks, Arts, Recreation and Culture Department will host National Night Out 6-8 pm Tuesday, Aug. 4 at the gazebo in Jetton Village. National Night Out is an annual community-building effort that promotes involvement in crime prevention activities, police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. The event, which includes food, children’s activities, a dunk tank and a DJ, is always popular with politicians in an election year.  There will be police and fire vehicles on site as well.
