Feb. 2. Cornelius Police have arrested Marcus Lamone Black for felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, felony sale of narcotics within 1,000 feet of a park and trafficking in methamphetamine and cocaine as well as other drug charges.
Police executed a search warrant Feb. 1 at 19416 Smithville Lane in Cornelius. The search warrant resulted in the discovery of 314 grams of methamphetamine, 100 grams of cocaine and 44 dosage units of MDMA, 24 grams of marijuana, as well as firearms and $1,114 in cash.

Police said tips led to a narcotics Investigation over several weeks.
Black was arrested on scene and transported without incident to the Mecklenburg County Jail. He was issued a $525,000 secured bond.
