Leaf collections are picking up
WastePro will pick up bagged leaves in Cornelius and the town will pick up laves left at curbside.
Nov. 2. Leaf season is in full swing, and with temperatures dropping this week, more leaves will begin to fall. The Town of Cornelius had two leaf vacuum trucks running yesterday, the first day of free leaf collection.
Mayor Woody Washam said there are four trucks. “We will add the others as volumes increase,” he said.

Could you provide a “routing” schedule for different areas so when we put our leaves at the road, we know they will be vacuumed within the scheduled time frame? Putting them out there too early will result in them being blown back into our yards resulting in a “do over”.
