Davidson Police Department offers Dog Walker Watch Program

June 23. The Davidson Police Department is inviting residents to a Dog Walker Watch training session on July 7 in the at Town Hall.
Dog Walker Watch encourages neighbors to help local law enforcement by acting as extra eyes and ears while out walking their dogs.
“We are a community that enjoys being outdoors and physically active,” said Chief of Police Penny Dunn. “Incorporating these activities with your best friend to serve the whole community is an opportunity that fits Davidson and helps the police department in our goal to be proactive in preventing crime.”

The event is open to the first 25 Davidson residents who register, with additional training sessions in the future.

Respectfully, In Davidson, pay more attention to vehicles verses minor crimes. Petty crime does not compare to the horrors of death of pedestrians in the town. It is heart breaking.
