Barricaded suspect, identified as Robert Dion Lambert, fired shots at police
June 26. A 53-year-old man who fired at police through a door, wall and window during a barricade situation has been identified as Robert Dion Lambert, also known as Joseph Dion Pantera.
He allegedly assaulted his stepfather by striking him in the head with a glass picture frame.
When officers arrived on scene Lambert fled to a bonus room over the garage at a million-dollar waterfront home at 21404 Blakely Shores Drive.

Details
The incident began at 8:45 pm and ended about five hours later after chemical munitions were used. North Mecklenburg SWAT and negotiators were deployed but as time went on it was apparent the suspect was not going to surrender.
No officers returned fire, nor were any injured.
Charges
Lambert was charged with a variety of offenses, including possession of a firearm by a felon as well as assault with a deadly weapon on a law enforcement officer.
Davidson, Huntersville and Charlotte Mecklenburg police departments provided assistance to Cornelius police.
The victim was transported to the hospital for a laceration on his forehead that required 17 stitches.
