COBERLY
Barbara Jean Coberly, 82, of Huntersville, NC passed away March 19, 2015. Barbara was born December 23, 1932 in Glendale, CA to the late Albert W. Chute and Alma Spornhauer. She was the office manager for Host International (Marriott) for over thirty years. In December 2014 Barbara earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. She graduated Summa Cum Laude. Her Love of Life, as well as her Free Spirit will always be remembered by her loved ones. She leaves behind her daughter Linda Jackson, and husband John; grandchildren, Jennifer Garifo, and husband Craig, Johnny Jackson, Jessica Jackson; and great granddaughter, Sofia Garifo.
A Celebration of her life will be private.

Barbara “Bobbie” Coberly was a wonderful human being and my dear friend. “Bobbie” hired me for my first real job at the then Interstate Host corporate offices in west Los Angeles in 1965. As happens in life, we did not maintain close communication but our friendship was non the less strong. When Bobbie told me she’d be getting her degree, I promised “I’ll be there” and was so pleased to be present at her celebration and spent the night with her and Linda playing Rummikub and laughing and sharing memories into the wee hours of the morning!
