Another sewage spill in LKN at Nautique Boulevard

Aug. 8. [Updated] A No Swim Advisory was issued after a sewage spill into Lake Norman due to a power outage at a private lift station located at 21328 Nautique Blvd. in Cornelius. It’s the second spill at this address in less than three months.

Repairs are under way.

NEW: Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services says the new spill amounted to 20 gallons.

CMSWS staff will take water quality samples to test for fecal coliform and will post results when available.

      This is the most corrupted waste water system out of the 200+ I’ve had the unfortunate pleasure to be on site. They released way more than that after every heavy rainfall. There is a % the final tank they are allowed to run off

      They have dumped so much poison in that lake to mix with all the tritium in arsenic

    8,000 gallons!!! This is really out of control. Fines need to be issued to contractors or the offenders of these spills.

    Wait til they say how many gallons on this spill….I would be very concerned if I lived on the lake.
