Feb. 10. Churches in Cornelius have a variety of Ash Wednesday observances today, ranging from formal services to pancake suppers tonight. Here, Rev. Tony Moreau held a drive-through Imposition of Ashes on the grounds of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church  from 6:30 am to 730 am. It was 28 degrees. Ash Wednesday is the start of the 40-day Lenten season in the Christian faith, culminating in Easter Sunday, March 27.
