EnergyUnited hosts EV Ride & Drive Saturday in Troutman

Sept. 22. EnergyUnited will host an Electric Vehicle Ride & Drive Event Saturday, Sept. 24 at the Career Academy and Technical School in Troutman. “Driving Change: EnergyUnited’s EV Event” will feature various exhibitors, including Plug In NC, ChargePoint Chargers, Centralina Clean Fuels Coalition, Huck Cycles and Forsyth Tech as well as local food truck Wrap N Roll.

When: Saturday 10 am – 2 pm

Where: Career Academy & Technical School, 350 Old Murdock Road, Troutman

    If the power generated for the EV chargers comes from coal fired plants then what is the environmental advantage of an EV?

    Not all the power generated for EV chargers comes from coal. Natural gas and diesel are also big sources.
