20th anniversary for Business Today

April 19. In April of 2002 we published the first print edition Northeast Business Today, later shortening the name to Business Today and then adding an entirely new publication, Cornelius Today, less than two years later.

It seems like only yesterday that we started boldly renewing our Post Office Box for one year at a time, instead of six months.

Much has changed since then, COVID included.

It’s been an honor serving our readers and advertisers all these years. Along the way we’ve launched Newsmakers Breakfasts and Top Women in Business (honoring leaders like the late Nannie Potts, former mayor of Cornelius) as well as Big Day at the Lake.

I’m grateful for everyone’s support and friendship over the years, from employees to faithful readers, advertisers and local officials. It’s been an honor and privilege.
