Is it Chartown Road or Chartown Drive? Please look at your text and map. In any case, are there any plans to connect the street with the neighborhood and eliminate the dead end?

Good catch. It’s Drive. We’re not aware of any plans but we will ask town planners and report back.

Deputy Town Manager Wayne Herron, AICP,responds: “The current proposed development plan from Lake Norman Chrysler Jeep Dodge does not show a connection to the neighborhood, primarily because it does not touch the neighborhood. Any future connection would have to be discussed by the Town Board as a capital project or in conjunction with a proposed development on the adjacent property.”
