Young entrepreneurs plant farmers market

Last Updated: August 7, 2020

Aug. 7. Kids in the Diane Shores neighborhood opened their own farmers market on Meta Road yesterday, staffed it and made some money selling homemade treats, fresh eggs and veggies, lemonade and dog treats. Proud parents were close at hand and the kids did a good job. The parents, including Jill Rotunda and Laura Bosak, say the young entrepreneurs plan to open every Thursday this summer from 2 pm to 4 pm. Yesterday was their first time out, at the corner of Meta and Bustle.

Where are the masks and distancing? Proud parents???

The parents are justifiably proud. Masks were worn by the children during the event when they were unable to be 6 feet apart. Children did put their masks on for each customer but opted to take them off for the photo which took about 45 seconds.
