Statesville balloon festival announces changes

July 10. In light of COVID-19 restrictions this year’s Carolina BalloonFest will not have any public attendance.

“This decision does not come lightly,” said Bud Welch, executive director of Carolina BalloonFest.

The annual event is known to both captivate the hearts of onlookers and support the community.

Details up in the air

Details are not finalized but National Balloon Rally Charities will work with local pilots to host a festival tribute in October. NBRC is confident there will be “balloons in the sky over Iredell County.”

    Why are we letting the Government run the way we live our lives this is sounding so much like a Terrorist is involved we can’t do nothing they said one day your lives will change and it has

    It is better to be safe with all that iis going on. It is always a wonderful event and we will miss it.

    Thank you for making a wise and responsible decision for Iredell County. I look forward to seeing the beautiful balloons in the air. I wish all citizens would be as respectful of others and show such responsible decision-making.
