Shame on you for criticizing Smithville! Cornelius has ripped off this small community for years, expecting them to pay taxes to cover sewers, roads, sidewalks etc. for the “white” side of Cornelius. The residents of the Smithville neighborhood even had to separately install their own sewers! And now the racist greedy white Cornelius wants to destroy the community and build roads through it to address the white needs for long neglected infrastructure. Of course they have no interest in disrupting the white neighborhoods. Cornelius, you owe a lot more than that $ to the residents of Smithville. Your racist past is showing. Cough it up! You are long overdue! And I’m a white person with a sense of decency, opposed to racism!??
What criticism? Where?
I think your opinion is a little off center and only perpetuates racism when not necessary. I believe our community is more equal than most in this country today. I NEVER RUN INTO ABSOLUTE RACISM ON A DAILY BASIS AS MUCH AS THE REST OF OUR COUNTRY. I ACTUALLY FEEL BLESSED AND AM GRATEFUL FOR THE DIVERSITY IN WHICH WE LIVE. I DO UNDERSTAND YOUR CONCERN BUT DON’T UNDERSTAND THE BLAME YOU’RE PUTTING ON SO CALLED ‘WHITE PEOPLE AS A WHOLE. SUPPOSEDLY I HAVE A WHITE PRIVELAGE CARD…BUT GUESS WHAT I’VE TRIED TO USE IT WHEN I FEEL IT’S NECESSARY AND IT NEVER WORKS! BEING WHITE AND PRIVELAGED IN THIS DAY AND TIME IS A MANEFESTION OF RASICM. The white males are being ostrecised and brought into an unfair, ideology. We all have the ability to take advantage of the opportunities out there! You just have to do it! And QUIT laying blame to an entire community only invites separation and more racism. I’M on your side and I BELIEVE AND APPRECIATE what you are saying but don’t judge lest ye be judged! I want us all to be equal. I’m not from Africa but my desendents came from Scotland and Ireland but nobody refers to me as Scotch Irish American… I’m just white. Our country is and always will be the melting pot. Who knows exactly where we all came from. My maiden name indicates I may be of African descent as a product of a plantation slave owners trists with a slave. Meaning I’m probably part African American. And I’m not ashamed. We’re all Americans unless here illegally. So where’s my respect? Signed: A Scotch Irish possible African… Not African American. Unless you want to refer to me as a Scotch Irish American with possible African descent. I love you all and wish only the best for our entire community!
